What to Expect

GSC currently maintains four different programs that you can assist with. Each program t
argets different facets of the community while promoting food security and food sovereignty in Guam. These programs are Serve and Grow, the Li’l Sprouts Academy, Supporting Farmers, Sustaining Families and AmeriCorps GSC

Volunteer tasks include garden activities and maintenance, program assistance, produce distribution, relief services and supervisory roles. What duties you are appointed depends on which program you are interested in assisting with.

In all cases, we encourage participants to bring a hat, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, gloves and closed toe shoes (required).

Service Learning

Many of these opportunities are offered as service learning activities for Guam high school students. To learn more about how you can earn hours while volunteering with our organization, simply click the link titled “Service Learning” under the program you would like to participate in.
