Ways to Give Back on Giving Tuesday
November 22, 2023
Giving Tuesday is an annual global generosity movement that takes place the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. This year, it's on November 28. Here are some meaningful ways to contribute to your community on Giving Tuesday with Guåhan Sustainable Culture:
Volunteer your time: Join us in making a direct impact by volunteering at our Guam Green Growth Community Gardens in Hagåtña and Dededo. Your time and effort can significantly enhance the well-being of our community garden. We are also accepting volunteers for our Supporting Farmers, Sustaining Families initiative at CHamoru Village, where you can distribute locally grown produce to consumers, families in need and charitable organizations.
Sponsor a Family in Need: Extend your generosity by providing fresh produce to a family in need. Just $10 can provide up to 3 meals for a family and support a local farmer. Your support can make a tangible difference in their lives, providing much-needed assistance during the holiday season and beyond.
Empower Change through Donation: Guåhan Sustainable Culture fosters local farmers, community workshops, and healthy living initiatives. Help us sustain our 3 community gardens by funding materials, equipment, training supplies, and operating costs. Your support ensures our programs flourish for a greener, healthier future.
Guåhan Sustainable Culture is dedicated to fostering positive change, and your involvement on Giving Tuesday can play a crucial role in building a stronger and more vibrant community. Together, let's create a lasting impact and contribute to the health and well-being of our community members and environment.
