Composting Workshops
EPA's Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling (SWIFR) grants support long-term recycling and waste reduction goals and help advance a circular economy. This program funds Guam’s efforts to reach Zero Waste through home composting and gardening training for residents across all villages.
In partnership with Guåhan Sustainable Culture, and administered by Guam EPA, this program offers incentives, technical support, and data collection to boost participation and progress.
Workshop Round 01 is set to commence in January 2025, and we are actively recruiting 200 participants to join us for a year-long program.

Li’l Sprouts Academy
Summer & After School Program
The GSC Li’l Sprouts Academy is a FREE summer and after school program generously supported by a range of grants and partnerships. The summer program for 2024 is made possible through support from Newman’s Own Foundation and welcomes all middle school students (incoming 6th – 8th grade).
Students will discover the magic of growing their own food by getting their hands dirty in the garden and cooking up nutritious dishes with fresh, local ingredients. Engaging in yoga and other physical activities, students will practice mindfulness and deepen their connection with the environment. Through this program, we will empower the next generation to take charge of their food sources and build a healthier, more resilient future for our island.
Middle School Summer Program CHamoru Village Starts June 10 – August 2, 2024. There will be a 1 week break from July 8 – 12.
For any questions, we can be reached at (671) 734-4721 or (671) 486-4721 . You can also come in to our office at CHamoru Village Suite 154-156. We are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Space is limited, register early!
